The Studio Process
We value the synergy between creativity and strategy. While the creative process deserves time and focus, each project must take steps necessary to stay on time and within budget. From photography, to graphic design and brand strategy; all engagements will follow the same life cycle. This studio process is essential for delivering the highest quality deliverable, within the most effective timeframe:
Discovery: This encompasses the consultation, and the setting of expectations between the studio and client. Discovery can be as simple as providing a quick one-line email ("I would like a headshot"), to an ongoing discussion that can last anywhere up to a week, or as long as necessary to establish clear goals and expectations.
Visualize: This is the stage where the studio digests the information provided during Discovery, and forms an action plan that, depending on the project, could include lighting set-ups for a photo shoot, a wireframe for a website, or a storyboard for an animation.
Execute: The Execution phase begins the moment production starts on the final deliverable. Examples of this stage would be the day of a photo or video shoot, or the moment the pen hits the paper for a logo design.
Refine: Up to this point, we have done all that we can to ensure the deliverable is of the highest quality, and must now have a fresh set of eyes look over our work for evaluation and quality assurance. For many projects, this will either be the role of the client, a subject matter expert, or a publisher. We gather feedback and make any necessary changes before delivery handoff.
Deliver: The final deliverable has been handed to the client!
